Face painting was another popular activity at Oktoberfest. Lydia Malloy showed off her Wonderwoman face while Jake Isaacson was Captain America.

Immaculate Conception School in Macon held its annual Oktoberfest on Sunday, September 4. Oktoberfest began with a welcome and opening prayer followed by the first and second grade singing the National Anthem. Other entertainment included Maples Repertory Theatre, third and fourth grade singing, a new ICS Show Choir giving a performance, and the Macon State Highway Patrol K-9 Demonstrations.    Continue Reading…

Scarecrows at Orscheln

Orscheln’s is showing their support for 4-H by having area clubs decorate the store front with scarecrows. The theme is “I Sell 4-H for…” to help promote 4-H participation. The clubs involved are the Macon Easy Riders, Ethel Ridgerunners, Longbranch Trailblazers, Atlanta Home Pioneers and the Bevier Buckaroos.
